Preparation & Tips for Dry Bucking:
-
Environment: Ensure adequate space and cooler temperatures in your processing room for optimal performance.
-
Plant Preparation: Cut the main stalk, separate individual stems, and ensure clean angled cuts for precise feeding.
-
Moisture Content: Ideal moisture for dry bucking should be between 12% and 14% to prevent damage and ensure smooth de-stemming.
-
Bud Consistency: Ensure buds are "springy," with pliable stems for smooth entry into the bucking machine.
-
Machine Speed: Slow down the machine speed for dry bucking for better results. Dry bucking at 1/2 or 1/3 of the regular speed is recommended.
