EZTrim Satellite Bud Trimmer – Precision Trimming for Quality and Efficiency
Unmatched Control for Perfect Trim Every Time
The Satellite Bud Trimmer is the trimmer of choice for commercial cultivators who demand precision, efficiency, and top-notch product quality. With its adjustable controls and dual wet and dry trimming capabilities, it allows you to trim up to 45 lbs. per hour wet and 30 lbs. per hour dry, while preserving the shape and integrity of your flower. Say goodbye to long batch times and hello to more control with every trim.
Key Features
-
High Efficiency: Trim 30 lbs per hour dry and 45 lbs per hour wet.
-
Batch Control: Trim in 30-45 seconds (dry) or 45-90 seconds (wet) for minimal touch-up time.
-
Shape Preservation: Maintain the natural shape of your buds.
-
Efficient Filtering: The system filters and separates your trim for added quality control.
-
Precision Controls: Fine-tune airflow, suction, and rotor speed for the best trim possible.
How It Works
The Satellite Bud Trimmer employs a unique system of airflow and suction to move and disperse your buds while they’re being trimmed. The untrimmed buds enter through the inner lid, dispersing onto the grate, where a cutting blade trims them as they move. The fan blade creates a vortex, providing suction that helps move the buds across the grate while being trimmed.
-
Blade Depth Control: Adjust the depth for irregularly shaped strains to avoid cutting tips, or tighten it for dense, compact buds.
-
Airflow & Suction Control: The airflow is adjustable, giving you the ability to balance vortex and suction based on bud size, density, and whether you're trimming wet or dry.
-
Bud Rotation & Separation: Soft, food-grade silicone fingers gently roll the buds along the grate. Adjusting the rotation speed and direction allows you to customize agitation, speeding up or slowing down the trimming process based on strain type.

Batch Time Control
Many factors impact the trim time of a bud, including size, density, leaf quantity, rigidity, moisture content, and more. Therefore, it is essential to adjust your batch time accordingly. Proper Batch Time Control will minimize touch-ups while ensuring your buds are only in the machine for a short time, reducing the potential for damage.
Trim Wet or Dry
The Satellite Bud Trimmer is designed to handle both wet and dry trimming seamlessly. Adjust the cutting blade and grates for each type, and you’ll achieve perfect results with minimal cycle times:
-
Dry Trim: 30–45 seconds per batch
-
Wet Trim: 45–90 seconds per batch
This efficiency reduces potential damage, unlike tunnel-style trimmers that take longer cycles to complete.
Trim Collection & Filtration
The Satellite features a unique filtration system with four collection bags of varying micron sizes, making it easy to separate and collect your trim:
-
First bag: Collects larger leaf and stem, great for extraction.
-
Second bag: Collects sweet leaf, perfect for pre-rolls or extraction.
-
Third bag: B-grade kief (green).
-
Fourth bag: A-grade kief (gold).
This filtration system maximizes the quality of your trim and kief, creating extra opportunities for extraction and product creation.
Trifecta System
When used with the Bud Bucker and Bud Sorter, the Satellite Bud Trimmer forms part of a complete system to remove bottlenecks in your cannabis and hemp harvesting workflow. This trifecta setup can help you halve your harvesting time, reduce staffing requirements, and maintain the high quality of your product.
